This nationally recognised qualification is suitable for existing supervisors, team leaders and middle line managers.
Organisations now demand an increasing focus on quality, customer service, best practice and world competitive performance. This training will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to work effectively in a managerial role.
There are no prerequisite entry level requirements for this program at AQF Level 4. However participants would normally be expected to be working in a frontline management role and be able to demonstrate practical application of acquired skills.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who take the first line of management in a wide range of organisational and industry contexts. They may have existing qualifications and technical skills in any given vocation or profession, yet require skills or recognition in supervisory functions. Typically they would report to a manager.
At this level frontline managers provide leadership and guidance to others and take responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes.
Course Entry Requirements
· Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
· Mature age entry applicable
· Reading and writing - a learner will be able to read, comprehend and write a range of texts within a variety of contexts.
· Oral communication - a learner will be able to use and respond to spoken language including some unfamiliar material within a variety of contexts.
· Numeracy and mathematics - a learner will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics.
