COURSE DESCRIPTION
 
Overview
This course gives you the skills to provide support and care to individuals and groups.
At this level support workers and case-workers may provide day to day support in community settings and/or provide assistance with entitlements and benefits.
Course Entry Requirements
·         Completion of Year 10 or equivalent life experiences
·         Mature age entry applicable
Learning Outcomes
·         Basic understanding of the operations of Community Service
·         Ability to respond to client issues
·         Provide personal care
·         Senior First Aid Certificate

Work placement
40 hours work placement within a Aged Care Facility is a compulsory component of this course
Attendance
85% of classes must be attended to achieve competency for this qualification
