Overview: This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so, they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff. Job prospects in the Early Childhood Education and Care over the next five years is estimated to be greater than 50,000 job openings according to the Department of Education and Training – My Skills.
  • This qualification can also be done as a traineeship.

Learner Commitment: Learner commitment is expected to be at a minimum of 35-45 hours / week. This includes:

Work Placement: 240 hours’ minimum work placement within a Regulated Early Childhood and Education and Care facility is compulsory for this qualification. Work Experience Insurance will be provided by REACH for Training
