Course

Overview: This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are competent in a broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services which may include facial massage, body massage, hair removal, cosmetic tattooing, spa treatments, lash and brow treatments, nail technology services, make-up, aromatherapy, providing advice on beauty treatments and services, selling retail skin care and cosmetic products and coordinating a work team. Work would be undertaken as skilled beauty therapists in salons, spas and the wider beauty industry.

  • Plan and provide the spa program and beauty services
  • Apply knowledge of skin science to beauty therapy treatments
  • Anatomy, skin biology, skin science and physiology
  • Nutrition and assess client's treatment needs

Learner Commitment: In order to undertake this qualification, the learner commitment is expected to be at a minimum of 35-45 hours a week. This includes:
  • Face to Face Classroom
  • Homework and Self-study
  • Work Placement hours
  • Assignment activities
  • Assessment time

Possible Job Outcomes: Learners who have successfully completed the course are expected to find employment in the following positions:
  • Beauty Therapist
  • Beautician
  • Beauty Spa/Salon Owner

Work Placement: 300 hours’ minimum work placement within within Beauty Spa/Salon environment is compulsory for this qualification. Work Experience Insurance will be provided by REACH for Training
